Moscow Unified Electricity Distribution Network (MOESK)

Lease of grid equipment, substations, vehicles and specialized equipment.

Financing: Bank of Moscow, RUB-denominated securitized Eurobonds

The project consists of 3 main parts:

  1. Purchase and integrated delivery of equipment for 15 cable lines on a turnkey basis. The project has an investment period exceeding 1 year and a lease term of 10 years.
  2. Purchase, delivery and assembling of equipment for “Omega” transmission substation. The project has an investment period exceeding 1 year and a long list of equipment to lease.
  3. Purchase and delivery of special gears and equipment that does not require assembling.

OJSC “Moscow Unified Electricity Distribution Network” (“MOESK”) is Russia’s largest interregional distribution grid company. It is among the country’s three leading energy companies and 30 largest industrial enterprises. OJSC "MOESK" supplies electricity to 98% of Moscow and 95% of consumers in Moscow Region. Its activities focus on electricity distribution to commercial and residential consumers and technological connection to electricity networks.The company’s structure includes over 610 high-voltage transmission and distribution substations of 35/110/220 kV. The total length of 35-220 kV transmission lines is 15,358 km; the total length of 35-110-220-500 kV high-voltage transmission lines is 1,338 km; the total length of distribution grids is 121,143 km. “MOESK” personnel amounts to 13,450 people and its 2008 net profit totaled RUB 6.737 billion.
